As it is known to public, the government of Georgia submitted to the Parliament the draft which introduces amendment to the law on Cultural Heritage and changes significantly applied regulation on cancelation of the status to the monument.
According to the legislative initiative, Paragraph 2 will be added to Article 17, according to which – in exceptional cases, in case of state necessities, removal of the status to the monument (save for those having national category or/and being in the list of the world heritage)is possible upon agreement with the Ministry, on the basis of the government resolution, by submission of the entity authorized to initiate the draft of the legal act before the government.
