GYLA introduced students to the Electronic Petition Platform Ichange.gov.ge. Discussions were held at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Tbilisi State Medical University, Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and Ozurgeti Professional College ,,Horizont’’.
Issues discussed within the framework of the meeting include the story of creating petitions portal, essence of electronic petition, its purpose, interface of the website ichange.gov.ge, registration, initiating and signing procedures in the portal, also the petition review and decision making rules. Representatives of GYLA informed students about the Facebook page of the portal, which provides its users with required information.
Attendees expressed their viewpoints about the portal usage rules and were provided with the materials developed within the project.
Partisipants showed their readiness and desire to actively engage in the process and also, continue further cooperation with the Georgian Young Lawyers` Association on issues related to the portal.
Several important petition issues were initiated at the meeting.
